1. Overview
GAToday, LLC DBA JKM Aerospace (“JKM Aerospace,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) publishes the AviCalc application for Apple iOS (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, why, and what choices you have. It applies only to the App, and not to any third-party product or website that the App may link to.
By downloading or using the App you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Information we collect
AviCalc does not collect personal information. The App has no account system and no sign-in. We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, precise location, or any identifier that could be used to track you across apps or websites.
The App does not include advertising networks, third-party analytics SDKs, or social media trackers. If a future version of the App needs to collect anything, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy label before that version ships.
The one case in which we receive information from you is when you choose to email us for support. In that case we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message, and we use it only to help you.
3. Data stored on your device
Any settings, aircraft profiles, saved calculations, or other content you create in the App are stored locally on your device, and in your own iCloud account if you have enabled iCloud backup or sync in iOS. We cannot read the contents of your iCloud account; that data is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Deleting the App from your device removes the data it stored locally. Data held in an iCloud or device backup is removed according to your Apple settings.
4. Information collected by Apple
When you download the App or make a purchase, Apple processes the transaction and may share aggregate, anonymized information with us through App Store Connect, such as download counts, territory, device type, and crash reports. If you have opted in to sharing analytics with developers in your iOS settings, Apple may also provide us with aggregated usage and diagnostic data. We cannot identify you personally from this information, and Apple’s handling of it is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.
5. How we use information
We use the limited information described above only to:
- diagnose crashes, defects, and performance problems;
- respond to support requests you send us;
- understand, in aggregate, which features are worth improving; and
- comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
6. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We may disclose information only in these narrow circumstances:
- Service providers. Apple (App Store distribution and delivery) and our email provider, each acting on our behalf and limited to what they need to provide their service.
- Legal requirements. When we are required to do so by law, subpoena, or other valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of GAToday, LLC, our users, or the public.
- Business transfer. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honor this policy or notify you of any material change.
7. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@jkmaerospace.com and we will delete it.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port personal information we hold about you, to withdraw consent, and to appeal a decision we make about your request. These rights include those provided by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Because the App is designed to keep your data on your device, we usually hold nothing about you beyond any email correspondence you have sent us. To make a request, email support@jkmaerospace.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Do Not Sell or Share. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so no opt-out is required.
9. Data retention
Support emails are retained for as long as needed to resolve your issue and to keep a record of the request, and then deleted on a periodic basis. Aggregate App Store statistics are retained by Apple under Apple’s policies. Content you create in the App remains on your device until you delete it.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the limited information we handle, and we keep our data footprint deliberately small as the most effective safeguard of all. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the App changes or as the law requires. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, for material changes, provide a notice in the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
